THOUGHTS FROM DOUG

Will severe energy inflation this winter be the tipping point that walks back the end-of-the-world climate narrative?

When the Fed suggests inflation is “transitory,” what time frame are they talking about? History shows that all inflation is transitory.

The key to inflation will be wages. Wages need to rise to support higher prices. Without wages rising, lower demand will eventually choke off inflation.

If the new Delta Plus variant runs amok this winter, all bets are off on any sustainable recovery for some time. People will likely be so shell shocked, they may just stop spending money. The best investment then would be in therapy industries.

Developing countries need/want trillions of dollars for climate change, yet history has shown a great amount of "aid" to developing countries gets stolen by elites.

Have people tired of big government, media and the global elite telling them what to do, how to think, how to manage their lives? Or are most people happy being “sheeples”? Maybe that’s why autocracies dominate human history.

Has President Biden’s vaccine mandate made the economy and the labor market better or worse?

When we think of our border, our security, “the wall” and immigration policy, maybe we should first ask ourselves why we lock our doors every day and night.
