Principals

Douglas A. Leyendecker founded the practice in 1981 after spending two years with a specialty search firm. He has completed numerous searches for corporate executives and corporate finance professionals. Most recently, he has spent significant time finding operating company executives for the portfolio companies of private investors. In addition, he has completed numerous searches for Investment Bankers, Investment Managers, Commercial Bankers, Equity and Debt Research Analysts and Private Investor oriented roles. After obtaining a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, he began his professional career in the audit department of Arthur Andersen & Co.

Prior to joining our team, James R. Ford spent the fifteen previous years as a sole search practitioner. During his independent career, Jim first served the accounting field, and then the securities industry with a special focus on sales professionals. While with us, Jim has shifted his efforts more towards corporate finance. He has executed various Securities Research Analyst searches on both the sell side and the buy side. In addition, he has contributed with numerous operating company projects. He holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and began his professional career in the accounting field at Texaco.

Pat Bajenski joined our team after more than twenty years in the corporate finance field. She spent fifteen of those years with Swiss Bank Corporation in New York, Switzerland and Houston, where she managed the bank's Agency office. After Swiss Bank, Pat held senior finance and administration roles in the e&p, midstream and power industries. Pat holds an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business and a BA in American History from Columbia University's Barnard College.

David A. Prodoehl joined our team after working at another search firm specializing in the accounting and finance fields. Prior to entering the search profession, David spent nine years with Continental Airlines in multiple finance roles. He began his career in the assurance practice of Ernst & Young. David, a licensed CPA, obtained his MBA from the Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University and his BBA from the University of St. Thomas. A native Houstonian of Cuban descent, David is fluent in Spanish.

Colleen Curran serves as our Director of Research. Colleen brings to our team a broad background of research, teaching and operating company work history. She contributes to our overall effort by gathering broad business intelligence that sharpens our market knowledge. In addition, she assists in executing selective assignments and serves as our marketing coordinator. Prior to coming on board, Colleen was teaching adjudicated and expelled students at a special Harris County school. She obtained her BA in History from the University of Houston.
