As an entrepreneur and small business owner, Doug Leyendecker recognized early on that following the economy, understanding where we are in an economic cycle and planning for the next economic phase is paramount to running a successful and sustainable business.
What began as a business necessity, quickly evolved into a hobby and passion. With the crash of 2008, Doug was inspired to put his economic observations on paper. Under the name “Armchair Economics,” he began emailing his musings to friends and colleagues and posting them on a dedicated website.
The Armchair essays are meant to distill complicated economic news, data and trends into core macro economic perspectives and projections, spoken in simple, approachable language. As in our search practice, the Armchair strives to be value added by clearing the fog of information overload to clearly see our true economic circumstance.
